Video surveillance

A camera system is only as good as the decisions made before the first bracket goes up: where the cameras point, what they need to resolve, how long footage is kept, and who is allowed to see it. We settle those questions on the drawings, write them into a specification, and check that what gets installed answers them.

What we do

  • Coverage design from the drawings: what needs to be seen, at what detail, from where
  • Camera schedule with placement, mounting height and lens for every position — entries, lobbies, elevators, parkades, amenity spaces, exterior
  • Recorder or VMS sizing for the retention period you decide on, with the storage arithmetic shown
  • Network and PoE requirements handed to the network design
  • Specification written to performance, not brand, so any qualified installer can price it
  • Submittal review, and site checks at rough-in and trim-out
  • Commissioning witnessed camera by camera; aim, focus and recording verified before sign-off
Design and review only. We do not sell or install the equipment, which is what keeps the specification neutral. If a project needs an installer, we help you find and evaluate one, then check their work against the design.

Start with the drawings.

A set of plans, a building that needs a new system, or a house still on paper — any of those is the right place to begin.
