Networking
Cameras, door controllers, intercoms, lighting and residents' devices all share the same physical network — and should not share the same logical one. We design the base-building network so security and building systems are separated, powered and reachable, and hand the owner an addressing plan they can keep.
What we do
- Switch and PoE budget worked out from the device schedule, not guessed
- VLAN segmentation: security, building systems, tenants and residents kept apart
- Wi-Fi coverage design where the building needs it
- Rack, closet, power and cooling requirements written into the drawings
- Remote access designed safely — VPN, no open ports
- IP addressing schedule delivered as a document the owner keeps
- Coordination with the building's IT provider or internet service where there is one
Design and review only. We do not sell or install the equipment, which is what keeps the specification neutral. If a project needs an installer, we help you find and evaluate one, then check their work against the design.
