Access control & entry
Every door on a building is a decision about who gets through, when, and what record is kept. Access control goes wrong most often when the door hardware, the access design and the programming are handled by three people who never met. We read the door schedule with the hardware consultant and write one design that all three work from.
What we do
- Door-by-door schedule: reader, lock type, fail state, request-to-exit, door position, power
- Coordination with the door hardware consultant and the electrical drawings
- Intercom, visitor entry and parkade gate design
- Fire alarm release interfaces identified and coordinated with the fire alarm designer
- Credential strategy — card, fob, mobile — and the administration model for whoever runs the building
- Performance specification, tender levelling and submittal review
- Site checks at rough-in and trim-out; commissioning witnessed door by door with free egress verified on every one
Design and review only. We do not sell or install the equipment, which is what keeps the specification neutral. If a project needs an installer, we help you find and evaluate one, then check their work against the design.

A set of plans, a building that needs a new system, or a house still on paper — any of those is the right place to begin.
