Privacy policy.

What this site collects, why, and what your choices are. The short version: almost nothing, and we never sell it.

Last updated 2026-09-19

This policy explains what information this website collects, why, who sees it, and what your choices are. It is written to meet British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If anything here is unclear, ask us — contact details are at the end.

The short version

  • We do not sell personal information, and we never will. We do not rent, trade or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • The enquiry form opens your own email app. Nothing you type is stored on this site.
  • This site does not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw consent at any time.

Who is responsible

Fraser Low Voltage Consulting Ltd. (“we”, “us”) operates this website at fraserlowvoltageconsulting.ca. Our privacy officer is [Founder name], Privacy Officer, who you can reach at [email protected] or by post at [Mailing address], BC.

What we collect and why

When you contact us

The enquiry form composes an email in your own email application; nothing is submitted to or stored by this website. When you email or phone us, we keep what you send — typically your name, company, contact details and a description of your project — to answer you, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of our business dealings. You give consent by sending it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time (see Your choices).

Analytics

This site does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies or any third-party tracking. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first, the date at the top will change, and any tracking that needs your consent will ask for it before it starts.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps a standard log of each request: the IP address it came from, the time, the page requested and the browser type. We use it only to keep the site running and secure — to find errors and block abuse. Log entries are deleted after 30 days.

Fonts and other files

The typefaces, stylesheets and scripts on this site are served from our own site, not from a font or content-delivery company, so no third party receives a request from your browser just because you opened a page.

Settings stored in your browser

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the business: the company that hosts this website ([hosting provider], in [country]) and our email provider ([email provider], in [country]). Each is limited to what it needs to provide its service. We may also disclose information when the law requires it — for example under a court order or to a regulator with authority to ask. We never sell, rent or trade personal information.

Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, where it is subject to the laws of that country. Ask us if you want to know where a specific provider keeps its data.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and correspondence: for as long as we need it to answer you and, if a project follows, for the life of that project plus seven years to meet Canadian business record-keeping requirements.
  • Analytics: not collected.
  • Server logs: 30 days.

How we protect it

This site is served only over HTTPS. Correspondence is kept in accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and only the people who need it to do their work can see it. We choose providers for their security practices. No method of storage or transmission is perfect; if a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.

Your choices

Analytics: this site does not use any, so there is nothing to switch off.

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, how we use it and who we have disclosed it to, and to ask us to correct it. Write to the privacy officer at the address above. We will answer within 30 days, or tell you why we need more time. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits; if withdrawing would affect something we are doing for you, we will explain that first. You can also ask us to delete correspondence we no longer need.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or, where PIPEDA applies, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This site is for businesses, strata councils and homeowners. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 19. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect and ask for consent where the law requires it.
